This places London at the bottom of the table for earnings per transaction among the cities surveyed.<\/p>\n<h2>Paris leads commission rankings<\/h2>\n<p>Paris ranks highest, where average fees of 5.5% generate \u00a336,847 per sale on a typical property valued at \u00a3669,950. New York follows at \u00a325,824 per transaction, despite commissions being split between listing and buying agents, while Singapore\u2019s agents earn \u00a322,515 per transaction.<\/p>\n<p>In Berlin, the average commission is \u00a318,618, in Madrid it reaches \u00a315,692, whilst Hong Kong agents earn \u00a312,430 per transaction. Milan agents receive \u00a311,524 and Toronto \u00a310,018 per sale. Dubai, at \u00a39,993, sits only marginally ahead of London.<\/p>\n<h2>Market pressures and regulatory environment<\/h2>\n<p>Eric Corsaletti, founder of AgentWise, noted that agent fees in London vary widely, particularly at the prime end of the market. \u201cThis research shows clearly that London agents earn comparatively modest commissions per transaction when set against other major global cities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The findings come as the property sector faces <a href=\"https:\/\/www.propertywire.com\/news\/winkworth-reports-11-profit-decline-amid-market-uncertainty\">market uncertainty affecting agency profitability<\/a>, with regulatory requirements and competitive pressures continuing to shape the London market.
