At the end of March, 18 properties were under investigation for potential licensing breaches.<\/p>\n<p>Gravesham recorded 107 licensed HMOs at the end of March, with 14 additional licence applications under consideration. Mochrie-Cox stated that while the majority of landlords maintain standards, \u201csome are failing in their duties.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The councillor noted that since the Renters\u2019 Rights Act came into force in early May, operators of unlicensed HMOs face a minimum fine of \u00a317,000.
