However, average earnings in England currently stand at \u00a341,859, leaving renters \u00a31,281 short of the required threshold.<\/p>\n<h2>Current affordability landscape<\/h2>\n<p>Tenants already require guarantors in 19.8% of England\u2019s 288 local authority districts, according to Zero Deposit, because average earnings fall below affordability requirements.
