Rising borrowing costs have placed additional strain on property businesses, which face increased operational expenses and regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n<h2>Industry response<\/h2>\n<p>Nathan Emerson, Chief Executive of Propertymark, said the figures should be viewed within the context of wider economic pressures affecting multiple sectors.
