Plans to build 123 homes marked as affordable will be delivered by Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust (JRHT) in partnership with Esh Construction.<\/p>\n
Situated in New Earswick, Esh Construction will develop 117 homes on land north of Willow Bank and a further six homes will be built on a former garage site at Acacia Avenue.<\/p>\n
The homes will feature strong energy efficiency measures, including triple glazing, solar panels, and battery storage, along with convenient parking and attractive outdoor spaces. The developments are supported by funding from Homes England.<\/p>\n
Construction on site is due to start in 2026 with the 123 homes to be handed over in Spring 2028.<\/p>\n
Sharon Brookes, director of asset management at the Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust (JRHT), said: \u201cEveryone deserves a good home, and too many people have been locked out of affordable housing for too long.<\/p>\n

The homes will include a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments and two and three-bedroom houses, designed to meet the needs of individuals, couples, and families, with 60% allocated for social rent and the remainder being available to buy through shared ownership.<\/p>\n
