{"id":4246,"date":"2025-10-06T05:02:37","date_gmt":"2025-10-06T05:02:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/second-home.uk\/?p=4246"},"modified":"2025-10-06T05:02:37","modified_gmt":"2025-10-06T05:02:37","slug":"trio-of-home-counties-developments-given-go-ahead","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/second-home.uk\/?p=4246","title":{"rendered":"Trio of Home Counties developments given go-ahead"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Housebuilding group \u2018untypical\u2019 has secured planning permission on three sites across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.<\/p>\n<p>Some 86 properties are coming to Didcot in Oxfordshire, 50 to Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire and 78 to Banbury in Oxfordshire.<\/p>\n<p>Tom Heathcote, chief development officer at untypical, said: \u201cSecuring planning permission across these three sites marks a significant milestone in untypical\u2019s strategic expansion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough Tilia Homes, we\u2019re not just building high-quality, energy-efficient homes, we\u2019re investing in communities, delivering real affordability, and helping to shape thriving neighbourhoods in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Work is due to start immediately at Foal\u2019s Meadow in Didcot, where 40% of the 86 homes will be affordable.<\/p>\n<p>The development will offer a range of two, three and four-bedroom homes, a block of affordable apartments and a play area.<\/p>\n<p>All homes are designed for energy efficiency, featuring air source heat pumps and electric car charging.<\/p>\n<p><!--   \t\t  \t\t\t \t\t\t\tgoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(\"div-gpt-ad-1715620536068-0\"); }); \t\t\t  \t\t  \t -->  \t <\/p>\n<p>Tilia Homes will also provide \u00a32.5 million in Section 106 agreements to support social and physical infrastructure in the local area.<\/p>\n<p>In Aylesbury, Tilia Homes is moving forward with its Quarrendon Grange site after acquiring the land last year. Reserved Matters approval has now been secured and construction is set to begin this winter.<\/p>\n<p>The scheme will deliver 50 homes, including a mix of one, three and four-bedroom houses and one and two-bedroom apartments, with 25% affordable housing.<\/p>\n<p>Duke\u2019s Meadow in Banbury now also has Reserved Matters approval and work can begin on the 78 homes, with 30 per cent designated affordable housing.<\/p>\n<p>As well as bringing social and economic benefits to the region, Tilia Homes will contribute more than \u00a31 million to support the local community in the form of S106 contributions.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Housebuilding group \u2018untypical\u2019 has secured planning permission on three sites across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
