Some 95 homes are close to completion in Llantwit Fardre near Cardiff.<\/p>\n
The development comes from a disused industrial site near Pontypridd, where so far 90 homes have been built.<\/p>\n
The developer Bellway purchased the site in 2021, at which time it had sat vacant for nine years, having been a plant run by chemical and care product manufacturer Clariant until 2012.<\/p>\n
Work at the site is due to be completed in January 2026.<\/p>\n
Daniel Shone, head of sales for Bellway Wales, said: \u201cWe are very proud to have transformed this disused brownfield site into an attractive new neighbourhood where people want to live and put down roots.<\/p>\n

\u201cCoed Derw has provided a range of two to five-bedroom properties specifically designed to meet the housing needs of the local area and this variety has led to the creation of a diverse and vibrant new community.\u201d<\/p>\n
There were 87 properties for private sale and eight affordable homes for low-cost rent or shared ownership, of which four are still available to buy.<\/p>\n
Alongside the new homes, Coed Derw also features a children\u2019s play area and open space on the south-eastern edge of the site, which borders neighbouring woodland.<\/p>\n
Shone added: \u201cThe four homes still available at Coed Derw are all four-bedroom detached properties so would suit families looking to move to a thriving and well-established community with a very friendly feel. <\/p>\n
