A planning application for 48 affordable homes at Ravenscraig has been approved by North Lanarkshire Council in Scotland.<\/p>\n
The new homes will be built on Prospecthill Road, adding to the growing residential community within the site of the former steelworks.<\/p>\n
The approved development will consist of three residential blocks totalling 48 mixed one- and two-bedroom flats as well as resident car parking and open landscaping incorporated into the design.<\/p>\n

Ravenscraig is one of Europe\u2019s largest regeneration projects, with a vision to create a self-sufficient community offering high-quality homes, education, transport links, and employment opportunities.<\/p>\n
More than 1,000 homes have already been delivered, alongside \u00a34.7 million in education contributions to North Lanarkshire Council.<\/p>\n
The latest approval comes amid strong progress across the site, including investment of \u00a312m by Fusion Assets Ltd to deliver 62,000 sqft multi let industrial scheme and a new 38,000 sq ft vehicle workshop and sales facility by Motus Commercials both progressing within Ravenscraig\u2019s SevenFourEight employment hub.<\/p>\n
Additionally, proposals are being progressed by renewable energy developer Apatura for a \u00a33.9 billion green AI data campus at Ravenscraig that could create 2,400 jobs.<\/p>\n
