Adam Lawrence, founder of London Square, has received the RDAS Golden Brick award from the Residential Development Agents Society (RDAS), which recognises contributions to the residential development sector.<\/p>\n
The RDAS, established in 1995, is a networking forum for agents involved in residential development land and property, with approximately 500 members.<\/p>\n
Lawrence started his career at Barratt Homes, where he served as regional chair for London and the Thames Valley. He founded London Square in 2010 to focus on residential property opportunities in the London market.<\/p>\n
Since its launch, London Square has completed mixed-use schemes including the redevelopment of the Star and Garter Building on Richmond Hill and the former Royal Mail site in Nine Elms.<\/p>\n
In 2020, Lawrence established Square Roots, a registered provider targeting delivery of more than 10,000 affordable homes in London over the next decade.<\/p>\n

London Square employs nearly 300 staff and was acquired by Aldar in late 2023. The company currently manages 25 active schemes delivering more than 5,600 homes across 17 London boroughs, with approximately 40% designated as affordable housing.<\/p>\n
Lawrence stated: \u201cReceiving this recognition from my peers in the industry is an incredible honour. However, this award really belongs to the team that have worked so hard alongside me to make London Square what it is today.\u201d<\/p>\n
Adrian Owen, head of residential at Montagu Evans and interim chair of RDAS, noted Lawrence\u2019s ability to rebuild a development business following the global financial crisis. Sophie Wellesley-Wood, director at JLL and RDAS chair, referenced Lawrence\u2019s approach to the industry.<\/p>\n
The award comes as London Square continues its expansion under Aldar ownership, with the company\u2019s focus on affordable housing delivery representing a significant portion of its current pipeline.
