Plans have been submitted for a 240-home development in Warrington from Habiko, a partnership between Pension Insurance Corporation (PIC), Muse and Homes England.<\/p>\n
Warrington Borough Council will consider the proposal at Academy Way, which is in the town centre to the south east of the Time Square district.<\/p>\n
The proposals comprise two six-storey apartment buildings, delivering 240 one and two-bed \u2018affordable\u2019 apartments, arranged around a central landscaped courtyard.<\/p>\n

Owned by Warrington Borough Council, Academy Way has strong public transport links, walkable routes and close proximity to the town centre.<\/p>\n
The plans will provide low-energy, low-carbon homes for rent, close to shops, amenities and services that will support the growing neighbourhood.<\/p>\n
The proposed development is designed by AHR Architects.<\/p>\n

Launched in late 2024, Habiko focuses on delivering low-carbon, low-energy affordable homes for rent.<\/p>\n
This is Habiko\u2019s first scheme submitted for approval, kickstarting the partnership\u2019s plans to develop a target of 3,000 affordable and sustainable homes over the next 12 years.<\/p>\n

Consent is in place for the demolition of an unoccupied retail unit currently on the site.<\/p>\n
